Sprint’s Galaxy S5 is now finally in the process of getting updated to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, which took more than two months later than T-Mobile’s version. However, this is the latest version of Android OS bearing that name, so expecting that the next new software Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S5 will get be the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Android 4.4.4 update is although rolling out in batches, which in fact takes a few days before your particular device notifies you that it’s available to download and install on your Galaxy S5.
Apart from this bump, the 4.4.4 KitKat update for Galaxy S5 on Sprint brings with it an HD Voice icon, international Wi-Fi calling support, and some unnamed and most important “Google security patches”. Just after you receive it and applied the update, you’ll be on software version G900PVPU1ANK4. Overall performance enhancements and with plenty of bug fixes going on in the background as well.
